Offering pro bono data science services to advance mental health research

Hello! I’m a data scientist looking to support mental health researchers with their data management needs. I’m offering my services pro bono to gain real-world experience while contributing to meaningful research that improves mental health outcomes.

Why I’m Offering This

As a blossoming data scientist and certified Teen Mental Heal First Aid instructor, I’m seeking to apply my skills in service of research that makes a difference. I’m not looking for compensation. Instead, I’m hoping to build my portfolio doing work that can make a difference while helping researchers focus more on their core research and less on data wrangling.

How I Can Help Your Research

  • Data Cleaning & Preprocessing: Standardizing formats, handling missing values, outlier detection
  • Data Wrangling & Transformation: Reshaping data, merging datasets, feature engineering
  • Database Work: Setting up research databases, query optimization, data migration
  • Data Visualization: Creating clear visualizations to help identify patterns and trends
  • Basic Statistical Analysis: Descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, regression models

Let’s Collaborate

I understand the sensitive nature of research data and am committed to maintaining confidentiality. I’m open to signing NDAs and following your institution’s data handling protocols. I’m available to collaborate remotely or in person if you’re local to my area.

Whether you need one-time assistance with a specific dataset or ongoing support for a larger project, I’d be happy to discuss how I can contribute to your research. Please feel free to fill out the below form or directly email me: scottstefanoski@gmail.com

If you don’t hear back from me, please feel free to email me at scottstefanoski@gmail-com
