Do they add any value to an application in this day of applicant tracking systems? Does anyone still read them anymore?
I really wonder do they add benefit to an application anymore? We now write a resume, polish for specific jobs. Log into a ATS with our LinkedIn credentials. Review the AI infusion of our info into the ATS after it has wrangled our information somewhat correctly from our LinkedIn profile and uploaded resume and then get to add a custom cover letter….
Does that custom cover letter add any value? Does it even get read? I posted this onto LinkedIn and wonder what kind of replies I get from people regarding this.
